Went to Bruntingthorpe today with Nine Excellence testing new IC's on my 9E 25. We hit 204 - 205 mph (GPS) again and again, despite a little head wind and sunny 24 - 25c. Best run was 206.2 mph (GPS) and 0 - 186 mph on 25 sec flat. The run off area was blocked off all day with trucks, so had to brake a little early to be able to make the first right turn.

During afternoon there were a few race bikes to play with, had great fun trashing them all down the straight. The bike riders looked a little unhappy when being flashed to move over at 180 - 185 mph biglaugh

Ken will probably add a little more details and George will add photos/videos from today.

206 = clap

I see you chaps use Bruntingthorpe regularly. Out of interest, how does one gain permission to use Brunty? I'm local (20-30 mins) and would love to come down with the C63 and test the factory de-limit (Drivers Package). Happy to chip in some coin with you guy's if you fancy using me as a guinea pig hehe
Cheers buddy... I am little further away, more like 5 - 6 hours which include a tunnel ride curse

I can recommend you to make contact with Craig who runs Vmax200.com and intro yourself. Craig runs a few Saturday events during the year and invite a broad variety exotics and fast cars. Its a great day out with a cool group of petrol heads racing each other for fun under safe circumstances.

In addition, Nine Excellence now and then test customer cars on week days (like my car yesterday). Not sure how they organize access, but try and contact Ken from Nine Excellence.

If you like to test yourself and your car against M3/5/6, AMG, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche Audi etc., Vmax200 days would probably be perfect for you. The Nine Excellence test days are with very fast Porsches, where you probably would have a hard time with a standard AMG hehe

Cheers,
HH

Just refilled my little 9E 25 toy, amazingly she gave me just under 10 km/l when driving back last night. Cruised at about 90 mph for 495 km (310 miles) and just filled 50 L on her. Porsches are amazing cars, doing 30+ runs over 200 mph on the track and cruise back home doing 10 km/l, I am speechless cool

Buddy, We moved to metric a while back, mpg is ancient... 10km/l is damn good for a high power car. Actually a little sad when I think about, it's better than any of my other cars can do ;-(

Roll on video of a 9E tuned (around 520-mark) 996 Turbo S against our 9E25 car. The 996 Turbo S hit 189gps and is a quick car, but you can see the difference...

I was on half throttle, licking an ice cream & talking to the camera man, with the top down......enough excuses?...alright the Vikings car is fxxkxx quick biggrin

Another great day H, although the journey home was a little more sedate this time. cool

I am well happy with a true 189mph car that will keep most exotica straight on the road.biglaugh
I stayed off boost to give you a fair shot... FT Denmark - Ireland 1 - 0 shoot
You are right, return ride last time was a little more determined. Look forward to duel next time beer

Great shots and videos George, I was particularly impressed with you hanging out on the side of Anthony's hair dresser top down doing 150+ mph smokin

Ken have you done any tuning to the Gen 2 997T engine yet? I am hearing from French and NL tuners that you gotta be a little careful, the engine supposedly is not as strong as the Mezger engine.

Met both yourself and your car when I had my banana yellow C4S down at 9E for a brake pad replacement. Looks truly stunning in the video and pictures! (still need to get my leaky suspension replaced. it's utterly borked banghead )

The gen 2 is yet to be proven - I know of at least one engine that bust a gut at around 550hp, so we are being careful on them - time will tell.
Would be a shame if Porsche goes down the spaghetti car route ending up giving us fragile engines that can't take a little beefing up without going hurl
