New iPhone adaptor and PCM compatibility

Should anyone be wondering, like I was, if the new iPhone (5) connector works with the PCM, it does.

I got an additional cable, connected it to the iPod port in the armrest and the PCM reads and controls the music as it previously did and charges the phone, as it previously did.

To be honest I wasn't expecting this to work!



Edited to add : the PCM is the one in a MY2011 Cayenne.

No adaptors, just the standard iPhone 5 cable that it came with.

There is a USB plug in the armrest which I had my iPod connected to, via a standard iPod / iPhone 2/3/4 cable.

The end of the iphone5 cable is the same USB fitting.
