Fancy a cut-price Porsche 997?

One Surrey dealer is already offering discounts

Normally near-impossible to come by, one car dealer is offering up to £1,500 off the UK list price of the new 997 Carrera S, making the opening price £63,000. According to its Web site, it has three pre-registered cars on offer with dealer mileages. Two are Coupe S models at £63,500 and the third a Coupe at £56,880. James Lewis Ltd in Surrey claims that it can build the models to customers' exact requirements in any colour.

We tried in vain to contact the company to find out more, but since prices on mainland Europe are generally lower, it's possible that the offer relates to imported left-hand drive cars. Alternatively, maybe they're just not shifting...

Contact details are on the Web site here.

If they were LHD they should be a good 15% cheaper than UK list? From what the website suggests, they are RHD cars imported from abroad, built to UK spec. Anybody interested in such a Porsche, should look for C16 on the options list in the service book.
