Please join us at PH'er Vixpy's rolling road on Saturday 5th October. Unfortunately, no 911 Turbos can be run.

Unit 120 Qinetiq Chobham Ln, Chertsey, Surrey KT16 0EX.

Normally the day will start at 10 ish and finish by early afternoon depending on the number of cars.

You will get 2 to 3 runs on the dyno and cars will go on approximately every 15 minutes.

I will aim to cap number at a maximum of 15 but would like a minimum of 10 cars to run to take advantage of the discounted £35 rate per car. Below 10 cars and the cost is £40.

Adjacent to the RR itself they have a large ish lounge area with tea making facilities but all biscuits/cakes/snacks are welcome on the day. You can watch in relative peace and quiet from here as they have screens showing the action and showing the plots. They have got limited numbers of ear defenders on site. In all honesty, you don't really need them.

Following your run you will get a couple of print outs to take away (AFR, power and torque curves). The ultimate power figure is great for pub talk, or you can use the afr plot to help diagnose problems such as fueling and MAF for example.

Lunch to be arranged, probably at the Brickmakers just down the road.

Please copy and paste the list below and add yourself.

List:

Name - car - RR or spectator

Ed - 986S - RR
Ian - 986S-RR
Dean - RS60 - RR

Rich - you can book both in no problem, you'll just pay twice the price! We can space the 2 cars apart no problem as well. Whereabouts are you?

Thanks for everyone's interest! Looks like we have quite a good early take up and will have a lovely selection of cars to see on the day. I will ask for everyone's email address nearer the time so a running order can be put together and any site instructions can be forwarded on.

Can old 964 turbos join the fun, or are turbos out period?
I doubt it but I am sure Charlie will spot this later and respond.

You will be able to stand in front of the car and hear the racket as they wind up or in slightly more comfort just a few feet away view on a big screen in a 'lounge'. The plots are shown on the screen and you can see them plot on the fly as the car accelerates.

From memory there are 3 screens on site. You can't really miss what is going on unless you are stood outside.

On the day I will prepare a table where we can all write down our figures and list any mods completed. I will then tidy it up, re-type it and post it back on this thread for all to see biggrin

I don't know why that would be a problem if the RR can handle GTRs in various states of tune and all their electronic gizmos.

Oldbob - are you intending to run your car?

If you want to join in please can you also PM me your email address and car reg so I can revise the running order and contact you directly for further instructions nearer the day.

We have just about maxed out a half day now.

Lunch is being booked at a local pub for about 1.30 so any subsequent runners who want to lunch will have to join us immediately after their run.

I am sure Charlie will keep taking the cars all day long but as mentioned anyone signing up now will be on from circa 2pm.

I have similar mods but much cheaper versions and realised similar gains to you, albeit it on a 986.

Is there a place for my GT2? And is it suitable? Last place I went it was trying to crawl out of the rollers!

SM
There is space for more cars but Charlie won't run 911 turbos as there is insufficient cooling so I suspect the same for GT2.
