I think the clutch on my manual CS is wearing as it approaches 60,000 miles, I’m getting some mild shudder on downshifts as I come off the clutch and when pulling away I need to use a good amount of revs to keep things smooth.

Can anyone guide me on what they paid for a clutch replacement and at what mileage theirs was needed? Am I right in assuming these cars use a dual mass flywheel and that the slave cylinder should also be replaced for good measure?

So everything all in approximately £1500 for a new clutch, not too bad when you compare to rivals.

I am interested to know what’s caused the mild judder though, I’ve done the majority of the cars miles and have never abused it.

Let us know how you get on please. I've noticed i can hear my flywheel rattling away, it goes as the revs climb.

How did you get on, and how does the car drive with the new replacement parts?
