991 GT3 now or later

A colleague of mine is selling his 2014 991 GT3 for 138k he is open and says he bought new for 112k. I can probably get it for 134. My question is would it be a risk buying this now with the new model coming out next year? I don't mind taking a little hit but at the same time don't want to say lose 30k in a space of a few months. Saying that the gen 2 991 turbo S didn't affect the price of gen 1 991 turbo S too much. What the consensus? Thanks!

Thanks for your responses, some were very amusing. Will speak to my OPC first to see if I can get a new one and how long it will take. My turbo is boring me to death so would be good to change. Looking at porsches site they all seem to be aroond that price.

Honda- 134 was what my colleague had hinted in conversation

OPC said no chance for 991.2, my turbo was bought from indie so doesn't help. Colleagues car is black which apparently why it is at that price, I liked the fact it had comfort seats(although unpopular), but think will go to OPC they have a few now around 130. Thanks again

Thanks for all the advice, on OPC site colour seems play a big role red and white being cheapest. Black, Grey being the most expensive possibly as more rare. Will let you know how I get on.

Interesting the comments on clubsport didn't notice a difference in price whilst browsing, I'm using as daily and don't fit properly into the buckets as I'm a fatty

Have any of you unplugged the vacuum pipe for th exhaust valve

Ah ok, will have to test drive one as my bugbear with the turbo is that it feels dead at low revs. When I drove the 991 GTS a while ago I didn't notice the valve system at low rpm.

Test drove gt3 today, exhaust valve is annoying but could live with it, loved the car and engine. Only thing that worries me is that it was a bit twitchy when on it, I drive all through out the year so may instead look at new 991 Turbo S.
