Do I order a Targa?

Being an al-afresco addict I have fallen in love with the new Targa. It will be my first Porsche but am a bit overwhelmed with the prospect as it represents a huge leap in performance & cost. To date have never driven or owned anything more powerful than 250BHP or worth more than £35k new. Not convinced I'll ever use or need the power, just love the idea of the car.
Have prepared my ideal specification which includes most options resulting in nearly £130 price. Money is not an issue but sensibility is.
Local Porsche dealer not exactly falling over themselves to allow me a solo test drive without some pushy salesman blathering in my ear. I hear reports that the cabin is blustery when roof panel removed so will want an extended drive when not raining. Perhaps I have been spoiled by lesser vehicles with their superbly sheltered cabins such as Mazda MX-5's, Honda S2000's, Audi A3 cabriolets & Mercedes SLK's.
Advice & opinions sought please.
