As per title.

Large paint scuff to wing / bumper in front of front wheel, about 6 inches by 10 inches, a couple of mil in depth. Looks properly gouged.

Very tight multi-storey car park in the south of France, not paying quite as much attention as I should, scraped high kerb.

718 Cayman S, only 6 weeks old, gutted. frown

So any recommendations on Porsche paint repair places in SW London or Surrey area?

Would I indeed be best off taking it back to OPC to sort? Am guessing it'd be hideously expensive.

Going through OPC, Porsche's approved bodyshop repairer M&A Coachworks have quoted £1,580 for the repair. frown

Guess I could get considerably cheaper elsewhere, or is this the price I pay for driving a Porsche?

For that sort of repair, (low down, not too prominent, different angle to surrounding paintwork) I bet you could get a decent smart repair done my a Chips Away (or similar). Should be under £200. You should be able to get a completely new bumper bought and painted for that price quoted above.
Indeed, the scuff is not at all prominent - you wouldn't really notice it with a cursory glance if you didn't know it was there.

hopefully not too late - avoid them like the plague, utterly awful

on my 997 turbo some idiot scraped my front bumper almost off

their customer service was hopeless
attempt 1 - paint peeled off the front lip after 1 week as they hadn't primed it
attempt 2 - car come back with a small bump right on the nose, small but bloody obvious
attempt 3 - ok

took a month, multiple hours off work to sort out/stay in

rip off prices (on insurance), VW Polo courtesy car

AVOID
That's pretty piss-poor. Thanks for the heads up.
Not too late, have been too busy at work to pursue this any further this week.

Appreciate all the comments and recommendations chaps. Some good ones suggested there that I'll call up tomorrow when I get a chance

These guys are doing a cracking job on a full, glass-out respray on my project car.

Most of their work tends to be accident repair stuff.

I am going to take another car with some bumper/ paint issues to them as I am very impressed with their work.

Ask for Will and say Dom with the XSi sent you and I am sure he'll take a look and give you a fair quote.
Sandown Coachworks - same franchise as Claremont Coachworks I believe, have quoted me £650 plus VAT.

That's more like it. smile

Only 15 mins down the road.
