Pete Stout whohas been editor of a number of Porsche magazines and more recently edited the club magazine for the Porsche Club of amerce which under his watch was better than most commercial magazines.

His new venture is a quarterly "magazine" , incredibly high quality, 240 pages or so with only a modest amount of advertising . Production quality is superlative and the articles are long and in depth coverage of specific important Porsches and Porsche history....... It is subscription only...

I habe received the prototype and first edition of the quarterly..and of you want to read some really in depth and interesting stuff about Porsches of all ages then I would recommend it. Clearly They clearly have deep access to Porsche and have excellent writers. Not cheap, but truly excellent you are interested in really in depth and well written coverage. (No affiliation on my part)

First Two covers:

Looks interesting, like all these things the quality is in the writing. Nice images will get it so far, but the price has to be right.

Not sure if many people want a 'coffee table' Porsche mag.
I think it it definitely a specialist taste so no likelihood of it in the local bookshop.. I have a fairly big Porsche library and it certainly has a place there. I would think of it as something to add to a library rather than as a disposable item.

Goof luck to them but I really don't see where the longevity is in this. It's a niche beyond a niche....you firstly have to have people that are rich enough with enough spare time to want to spend that much on (very impressive) reading material....they then have to be a car nut....and that car nut has to be mad about Porsche's and not Ferrari's or Bugatti's etc.
All true, but I have a feeling they will succeed in the niche. There are a lot of Porsche owners out there ( the Porsche club of America is about 150,000 alone) and when you think of what people pay you maintaining these cars the money begins to look more reasonable. Yes, you have to be a car nut, AND a reader too. I have a big library of Porsche-related books and I think if this being more library material than a periodical. It is certainly not where you would go for the latest news. In my view Porsche is a lot bigger and less exclusive than Ferrari or Bugatti, but the number of owners and enthusiasts for the brand if quite high.

We will see. As usual, its the renewal rate that will count.I am happy so far. ( No did not buy the super-duper edition, but I didn't buy a 918 eithersmile).......

Hard to do as the issues do not lie flat...they have thick spines. Will see if I can shoot a page some way...

He has some good writers involved though.

Just got the new edition. I already have a big Porsche library and just about every article was completely new to me. The minimal amount of advertising is striking so no filler. A space on my bookshelf for keeping these permanently has already been assigned!
