2018 RS Day at Oulton

That sounds good. I just got a credit back for my place so the next person in line could get the place.
I really enjoyed the driving last year. As a 911 nutcase over the years and a determined (but mediocre) racer it was only the second time on track in a 911! Loved the wet and drying conditions and felt I was just beginning to get some idea about driving a 911. Enough to realise just how much there is to learn!

It's a cost thing as it's well known that all Porsche owners are tightwads
last few years it's been dead after about 2pm because it's the coldest place on earth.^spot on - there must be a reason why they hold one of the best track days of the year in what is virtually winter??

Anyone else got a ticket going? Just missed out on the other two mentioned here!
as people go home/ or the older cars break down :-) you can normally pay to get on in the PM session.last few years it's been dead after about 2pm because it's the coldest place on earth.
I kept going until quite late in the day last year. From memory the day was dry-wet-dry and was great fun. Miss Bert and I were sharing and got quite a few laps in. Called it a day in the end as I was getting too lairy! I'd binned my race car there the year before and didn't want the same for my 911!
Not known for its cheapness though if the costs of testing there are anything to go by!

Now that MSV have completed their take over of Donington (news release today) I'm sure they would be amenable to running an RS day there. Albeit on a midweek day during the summer. Noise can be an issue at Donington for newer Porsches but it can be driven round by short shifting out of the chicane.
