Yes it's an original Yellowbird and a Clubsport to boot.
RUF bought a handful of chassis direct from Porsche (about 25 from memory) then just under 30 other's were converted at RUF. So a total of just under 60 CTR's in total were made. This is most likely the only one in Mint green. I'm not sure how many were clubsport.

Is 120K miles really that much for a 30 year old car though? It also has a new gearbox, which was silly money at RUF and is cosmetically in fine fettle for such an old banger wink
Could be an absolute bargain for someone. As there are less than 60 in existence, they are very tricky to value. The last one I saw for sale was £550k. If you want a Mint Green one, then there is only one in existence so grab it while you can!

Car looks lovely and is an incredible colour.

Apologies but I couldn't see any details on the auction page about its history and I have a friend who might be interested in bidding. Has it been in any crashes/accidents?

If anyone is thinking about bidding I just want to say that driving/owning a Ruf CTR is an incredible experience and well worth it.
Adam did you by any chance own a Yellow one back in 2004?

My father was the owner but I did most of the driving smile
Then you may recall back in 2004 we both attended an event call TV (Terminal Velocity) at RAF Woodbridge. It was a close run thing but I managed to steal the title by the smallest of margins about 0.01secs or something daft to claim the trophy which I still have to this day wink
It was the one and only time I've been in a CTR when you kindly took me out in your car. It was a serious weapon and I still remember being gob-smacked at just how quick it was.

I remember it very clearly! Was a cracking day and very close indeed. I think (from memory) I did the 1/4 mile in 11.53s @133mph.
Car guy brain - remembering your quarter mile time/speed from about 13 years ago ...
Come on that's a bit unfair, Adam only remembered to two decimal places hehe

Mintbird, any view on the tax situation on this car for a UK/European buyer?
Hi Max, fortunately the car is fast approaching 30years old, so there will be minimal tax implications:

Euro 1 certificate, 30 year old classic tax 6%

Kind regards
Richard

Agreed Max it would be torture but I’d be looking at it like this; how long until you find another club spec CTR. My guess would be never again in our life times

EVO article about this car:

They seem to like it:

Looking at the 70-plus lots set to feature in the RM Sotheby's Paris sale on 7 February, the 1989 RUF CTR Clubsport is certainly our favourite...
