Looks like Porsche denying me my 911 GTS - so disappointed

Having ordered my new 991.2 GTS convertible early last November, my Porsche Centre are now saying I may not get my car.
I'm so disappointed, they tell me Porsche are ceasing the 991.2 build in June and gearing up for the new model. But why did they take my deposit and lead me along ? They have offered me a Targa due to a customer cancellation but i didn't particularly want a Targa. Should I take it ? or am I being lead along the garden path ?

Update: I went to the dealer and they tell me they are hardly getting any 911's through right now, my GTS order might materialize in September but it's not certain. I called another dealer who says theres little chance of them getting a new GTS now. I took a good look at a base used Targa and it is really very nice, looks good, special even, we went for a drive with the roof stowed and its fine, very little wind buffeting and it was - well a 911 & therefore superb. Upon checking the used values of targa GTS cars I find dealers are actually asking around 10k to 13k above list price right now for 17 & 67 plate cars. So I switched my order an I'm expecting a shiny new GTS targa early April, all happy again
