I have been offered a new one of these by my dealer, and they seem good value. My idea is to use it as a daily driver so I do not use my GTS for dull motorway work.

Is the platinum edition worthwhile or is it best to hang on for a new model. I think they are a close out model?

Also S or non S for the boring stuff.

Any views or help would be appreciated.

Thanks Pete, that makes a lot of sense. I think that was my thought, do I wait for the new one but for a daily driver 60K for a platinum makes a lot of sense. It really would be for dull miles and sometimes towing.

As you say for fun, I have it covered with a manual 2wd GTS, so I don't really need to cover both bases, as you say a big tank and a nice MPG could be the answer.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

60K is for the standard diesel model. Those finance figures look amazing. Not sure how they get to that.

Fred Bassett, did you get the price I to the 50's? Happy to PM if you do not want to share details on here? Did you use finance?

In the end, standard Diesel V6 with a few bits on, it is only for dull stuff and once the extras went on the pcp shot up. The standard spec is pretty good and I got the extras that I wanted. The dealer had an amazing purpurite car but with all the bits it was £200 per month more and it was just not worth it.

Really looking forward to it, that with a manual GTS should be a great combination.

I wanted the purpurite, but went with Jet Black, really looking forward to it, my GTS is graphite blue and that's a great colour.

No, Colchester. It's not my nearest OPC but have built a good relationship with the guys. Its one in stock - jet black metallic, pani roof, PASM, dark taillights, reversing camera - can't remember full spec (thought I had left with a spec sheet) as still in a daze smile We were super impressed how it drives. The one I test drove had air suspension & would have liked this as an option but at least with PASM it should be ok for our needs. Hopefully collecting next week. It will replace the Disco 4 as our workhorse to tow horse box, room for the dogs & general mundane stuff but what a nice car to do this with. I would probably want to change tyres over to all weather ones.

Have an Aston V8VS manual for the fun stuff & a an old 1-series BMW as a daily.

That sounds very similar to my spec, I have a 991.2 manual as a fun car. I am glad to hear that you liked it as I have jumped in without a test drive, I get it on Thursday.

It was a little bit brave but to be honest I have no reference point as I have never had a big car or any kind of SUV. The important element was that it was practical.

Anyway it arrived an hour ago and first impressions are that I really like it. It does not feel as big as I thought it would, and the interior is a nice place to be.

I will find out more in the next few days...

Mine is Jet Black as well, I think my wife will like it as well.I bought mine from Cardiff even though I am in York, as you say when you find a good dealer stick with them.
