WOW..what a day..again!!. I'm just in love with track days right now... Roll on Brands.

@Jay, George (+ Phil, + Harriett) you are all very welcome, very good passengers and I hope you were able to see a little bit of what the car is about, even if my skills leave a bit to be desired still.

Chris, David, Steve - great to see you all again. David - cheers for the quick run out in your lovely GT3. The engine in that thing is like a super bike engine. I NEED one at some point in the future.

As for the GT4 - the car is mega - gives so much confidence and as has been mentioned - its pretty much bomb-proof - can take all the punishment - is totally unstressed and over-engineered - you can just run all day - push as hard as you dare, and it will just keep pounding around even when you as the squishy bit in the cockpit begin to fade.

I decided to run the track precision app for the day to get some insights.... for those of you that haven't tried it... its pretty cool and records all the video and telemetry right on your phone.. you can analyse plots, compare against reference laps - export all the data and video (with overlay and sound) and look at on iPad, or PC using RaceLogic Circuit Tools.

Although timing isn't allowed - had significant improvement throughout the day.. Fastest lap on the first stint of the day was 1.31.11 - and finished the day will a best of 1.23.34.... never been to Donny before.. 3rd track day ever.. first of which was 5weeks ago.(But have spent the last 2weeks analysing every Donington Park Track Guide on YouTube... big shout to Scott Mansell aka Driver61.

I had some coaching from Dino Zamparelli who kindly looked at my video and gave me some great pointers on attacking corners harder and was very complimentary about my braking performance and some of my lines.

Finished off with some instruction from Richard Ellis - who i first met at the Silverstone day.. and he was very happy with the progress I've made from that first ever trackday literally 5 weeks ago. No compensation for seat and track time.

Again I learnt so much on the day... as mentioned at the top.. met some great people again - and everyone had fun - weather was awesome.

PCGB have sent an email to some participants with a link. Unfortunately, the list of participants they developed did not necessarily coincide with those who were actually there on the day. I gave George a call on 01608 652 911 and he sent me the link.
Ok great - will keep those details handy for future days.. and will actually place a call to see if i can get link for the past couple of days i've been at. Some of the shots are amazing. Fantastic to see these cars in motion as intended especially if one of them is your own with you at the helm.
