Been looking at sharpening up the suspension on the GT4 to dial out the understeer on track.

Speaking to JZM, they recommended the Manthey Kit: https://www.jzmporsche.com/product/manthey-981-gt4...

Whats people's opinion on the Manthey stuff? How do they compare with the RSS, etc?

I paid £450 for the Manthey kit (2nd hand). I saw the RSS Stage 2 kit (@£1800+) as the next step after the Manthey kit had been fitted and run on a few trackdays this side of the winter layup.

Kit fitted and setup done by Centre Gravity.

Massive improvement with front end grip but the real proof will be how it performs on track. Blyton Park booked for Sunday.

Nice, can you provide any further details of the setup? What have you done with camber, track via shims, anti-roll bars?

What did they say about the kit?, did you have any other parts fitted?
Front: -3deg camber +36mm track
Rear: -2deg camber +12mm track
Left arb's in mid/mid

Largely positive feedback on the kit. The only negative is the rear adjustable toe links. Due to the thread, they are awkward to adjust.

Only the Manthey kit was fitted but the DSC unit was recommended as something to try before moving to new suspension.

Feedback from Blyton on Sunday:
- Temps were down from the previous trackday at Blyton by @6/7degC + cold wind. Lots of cars on the track as well.
- Achieved a 1:15.300 last time.
- Down to 1:14.113 over a single lap. Theoretical best was 1:13.250.
- Next thing is to sort out the amount of body roll (too much) before Croft on the 20th Oct.

Tyre pressures - tried to keep to 32psi all around as under that, the sidewalls felt they were flexing a lot.

Due to the lowish temps, it was taking 7-8 laps to get the pressures/temps up.

I've asked CoG to price up a DSC v3 box as that is supposed to do a great job in minimising roll.

Looking at going to Croft on the 20th so will try the rear arb at full stiffness and see if that makes much of a difference.

@TDT - Have you had the opportunity to test the 718 GT4? I'd be interested in your thoughts on how they compare.
