I have no issues using this function in town - it reduces consumption and pollution at traffic lights. I have mapped the button on the steering wheel to disable it, say when at the mouth of a busy roundabout. But I find mine rarely kicks in on any journey under 30 mins.

Engine is up to temperature very quick in this car, I'm not in any Sport mode, battery full, air-con off, cabin at temperature - but it will just light the yellow Stop/Start symbol signaling a refusal to switch it off.

I'd love to know the reason for this refusal. Anyone else? (it's a 2017 Macan Turbo pp)

Hmm - it was kicking in regularly today after about 10 mins. Ambient temp was 9 degrees. Forgot how much of a b nuisance, intrusion and distraction it can be. LOL!
