Porsche Vehicle Tracking System - is it worth it?

Hi - I'm about a month away from picking up my first Porsche and was wondering if its worth using the PVTS... I guess my main questions are, is it reliable and recognised by insurers in the UK and do people find it relatively costs effective?

Or what is the more common go-to option for trackers these days?
