Morning all,

Looking at getting into Porsche ownership for the first time having narrowed my search down to several cars. I'm aware the Porsche GT market doesn't really follow any other trends with highs & lows. Similar to the Lotus market when I had my V6 Exige. Bought an M2 after that. Much more practical and went from two cars to one but never really filled the void left from the Exige so looking at changing again. Still tempted by a Nissan GTR simply due to the amount of car for not alot of money.

Anyway, I'm looking at 981 GT4, 991.1 GT3 and 911.2 GTS. The car in question will be used everyday but as I work overseas there isn't much of a criteria. I have a small dog which I don't mind putting in front seat but the 911 is obviously more practical for that, only do a couple thousand miles a year aswell.

I'm aware car prices are inflated at the moment so will happily hold off until the new year but curious to see which car would keep their value best. Also keen to hear experiences and opinions on the choices above.

Cheers

Thanks for all the replies and information. Totally understand what you mean by not getting the full experience everyday with a GT3 but would likely get decent runs and possibly track time every other month.

The GTS seemed like a very good all rounder and would opt for rear wheel drive also as suggested.

GT3/4 is the one I'd like most but really need to drive them both first probably.

Thanks again for the replies.

The 997.2 GT3's are like gold dust. Legit never see them advertised and when I do they are mental priced but would consider one.
