According to this weeks autocar the caymans bubble has burst!
Not much of a bubble in the first place imho.
Independents claim that there are more sellers than buyers.
So what do phers think?
Has porsche finally dropped a clanger?
My view is that i think the public at large is'nt fooled by this over priced boxster with a roof and it is'nt going to be the big money spinner they thought it would be.

I have to agree thats its really all down to price,i remember when early talk was of a car around 29k.
What stopped porsche doing a nice 2.7 clubsport version at that money, with the option to speck the car up to the moon if one so wish it?
That really would have been a car that would have sold out 3 years in advance imo.
Its such a shame some greedy tt at porsche has turned this car into what it is,an overpriced joke!

Pikey
Even if you look at our small gathering in this thread you will find out of 20 odd people you have maybe 2 that seem to think the cayman was worth the bother.
Not because its a bad car or a bad idea, but because most people who might buy this car are'nt stupid, they know the car is really overpriced.
This car imo will be a good buy in a years time when it will be up at 35k with plenty of options.
You say the marketing men have got it right,i dont agree, time will tell.

Just one of the silent many who will vote with their wallets when all is said and done.
The cayman could have been the perfect car for me if it was not overpriced and underpowered
I could have lived with the bland looks at the end of the day.
Also we are here just to chat when all said and done,so if it is a winner goodluck to porsche, for those who have bought and are happy, great and as for me i'm sure i can live with the fact that porsche never made the cayman the way i would have liked.
