I've been looking out for prices on 993tt 's both privately and main dealer. The price gap between the two isn't small. A similar model will generally be 40k and 50k respectively. I know the major benefit is 12 months warranty but what do you think about taking a chance nothing will go wrong? I've heard it's possible to get a main dealer to check out a car for a fee. An alternative in-between might be a specialist dealer...

Any thoughts? Recommended dealers / specialists for sales and servicing in the south east (chelmsford) would be very helpful. Any good / bad experiences would be a helpful guide too.

Also does anyone know any good online sites to surf at work? Dealers with interesting stock? (993tt or RS models).

Thanks guys.

Cheers, I've had a look through the official site - hardly ever come across RS's or anything a bit different though. I'm really after places people have had good dealings with other than main dealers - with a view to weigh things up a little.

I've got a few Porker world mags too. Anyone else seen the new mag out. I bought it a month ago, name is something like GT or something. Not given it a proper read yet though.

domster - sorry about butting in here: you've seen an NSX for low £20k? They always seem to pop up MUCH more expensive when I come across them. Was it an import? These always look expensive for the performance on hand, ie: slower than a boxter or 'hot' hatches, around 6.5sec 0-60. I guess they're sold on the strength of that engine note and looks instead.
