Changing to one throttle body instead of 6

My ever thinking mechanic has asked " has anyone changed back to one big throttle body"

Better fuel economy
Longer lasting
easier to tune / maintain
more mid range torque


cons .. loose about 20hp

My mechanic works on and builds Alfa Busso v6’s as fast road and race .
You can easily let the current ecu run a single throttle body .
Like I said he’s a thinker and he is already working on an idle valve . ...
his impression is exactly as I stated , but this is his first speed 6

Didn’t think you would need to do anything to the ecu for an idle valve

Besides I’m in Australia, so not planning on sending back to uk
