Whilst waiting for something bigger to go wrong, I have been trying unsuccessfully to reduce the wind noise on my Mk1 Tuscan.

With the roof on, at 60+ there is wind noise like a kid tying to learn to whistle (all wind and no note !). If seems to come from the leading edge of the drivers window.

As far as I can tell the door seals are good (and new), and I have been plugging various bits of the body work / glass with bluetac all morning but with no improvement !

Anyone got a little list of things to try ?

And yes I know I should be driving it with the roof off - but that doesn't work so well on the motorway in the rain.

(it isn't the rear screen - that makes its own noise that I can get rid off with very careful seating of the rear screen on the seals and some silicon gel!)

Thanks

Ian

Thanks for the suggestions - I have a play with it next week and I’ll try to post some pictures at the same time

Brief update... took door panel off, found that the rubber thingy that sits in the metal guide for the glass had fallen out - put it back. Adjusted the bolt so ensure the window pushes hard on the seals on the roof. Bent the “tang” in a bit to ensure the glass was pushed against the edge when fully closed. Shoved some fish tank tube inside the seals, making a notable difference at the bit where the corner at the top front of the door. With all that done the noise has gone smile thanks for all the advise!
