Powers De-Cat EPROM

Has anyone installed this in their car?

When they did what was involved? I am not in the UK so cannot bring my car in, but am handy enough with most jobs.

Dom does have a basic 'decat' map for each of the S6 engines. He sent me one with my std 4.0 rebuild to fit when the cats get the big Spanish violinist.

I haven't fitted it yet so can photo it if you'd like - assuming I can find it :BigLaugh: - to see what is written 'on' it.

If you are interested in loaning/renting/selling it to me to see if it fixes my AFR fault I am really interested!!

I reset the adaptive maps etc after installing the new Lambdas. I guess I should have reset them first, doohh.

The readings look good now, no AFR fault logged

I took her for a drive today, but no faults.

Has anyone done a before vs After comparison?

Its still not clear to me if it has a major effect.

I don't have CATS, and we don't have emissions tests anymore, so I don't need it for that

Swapped em out this morning! Took it out, warmed it through then reset the adaptives.

Only got a 10min run in really, but first impressions are:
1. Smoother idle
2. Flat spot is gone
3. Feels as though it pulls harder up around 5k onwards.
4. Less BANG more pop!

Will need to take it out for a good run to really tell, could be placebo effect etc I guess!

Any further update?
