With Mrs C's help we now seem to have the basis useable register, I quite happy to maintain it for those people who would prefer not to update it directly themselves. Also I'm going to add some more fields:-

Current Mileage (K Miles), No. of Rebuilds, No. of Clutches, Tyre Make, Tyre Sizes, Exhaust, Shocks
........say 10.5 ......................0.................0.......... Goodyear F1...255/255...CCC...Bilstein

I will default fields to a std. setup or zero (and hopefully they stay 0) , Am I correct that Carbon Can Company are std. exhausts???? I assume everyone has 18" wheels.

I will also see if we could fit more info in the boxes (e.g. Colour box has space to include interior colour but how?? I need to play a bit). If anyone has any other thoughts for new fields post in this thread, but bear in mind the width will become an issue. Does anyone know how to get rid of the PH info when you print...stuff like My Info,This Forum, Members etc.???I always get in a print of the WIKI.

I'm taking regular backups because one day someone (may be me) will screw it up. I'll date backups on the register. Although HISTORY seems to keep track of changes made.

I'll also put a reference in the WIKI register to this thread which we can use for any new suggestions or update information.

shout IF a MOD(BIG AL) spots this PLEASE CAN WE HAVE THE REGISTER AS A STICKY WIKI PLEASE

Hi Liz, I didn't realise it was so easy...I've been thinking PH implemented full WIKI codes as per the WIKI Encyclopedia and would allow you to into HTML .. Instead its just a few edit commands (I realise now the same ones that can be used in all Postings)...How thick am I??? Why do old fashioned Assembler System Programmers (Like me) have to think everything these days is bloody complicated???....Still can't do what I want to, but at least I know why now...I've put a post on website feedback 'cos Petrol Ted's code doesn't seem to allow you the put bullet points inside a Table Cell i.e.

Header 1 Header2
*item 1.1 *item1.2 *item2.1 *item2.2

That was going to be my get around not being able to put embedded Line Feeds in Cells.. headache

Phil, I put the build pic of your car on the register...I saw it on my factory visit in March '06 when mine was being built...I think I picked the first one from when it was for sale...I may have got the wrong car.
To post a pic you need to load in onto a Photo Hosting Website...I use WEBSHOTS which is FREE...the select the thumbnail size and cut and paste the provided URL....Alternatively attach any photos to an e-mail to me keithahume@hotmail.co.uk and I'll do them for you...Keith

PS Webshots is following URL http://www.webshots.com/homepage.html?vhost=www

Hi,
Have just part exchanged my Chimaera 500 at Hexham Horseless Carriages with a 2005 Reflex Charcoal Tuscan 2 Convertible. I beleive previously on the register under 724tus. 5,500 miles. Can't wait to collect on April 2nd.
Congratulations David, you'll really enjoy it, only two weeks to wait biggrin . To date it would appear that you have the first production model convertible.Take it easy when you get it, I although I only had a Chim 400 the power difference was immense. I'll update the register for you.

I'm not convinced about the other Reflex Charcoal at Harrogate Horseless in PH Classified being current(I think its an old ad).. Harrogate HC has been Drivestyle for 2 years and I think that car came from Ciceley. I drove a Reflex Charcoal Demonstrator at Gorners before they went bust, I wonder what happened to that one.

Keith,

Wow - you actually saw our Tuscan at the factory. Do you have any pics you wouldn't mind sending me. My e-mail is philtuds@yahoo.co.uk.

Thanks very much for posting those pics and if that is really our Tuscan then I'll leave them there.

Regards
Phil.
Phil, I think I've only got that one of your car, but I'll send you some "build" pics.

Lee02 has told me that we had his car in twice.. so we're back to 53.

I'll try and see if Don Hastie has photos of the British Grand Masters race where convertibles were used on the parade lap...It would be nice if we had a photo of each of the 15 cars with their GP drivers.(please e-mail me any if you have them)..Also I'll add some build pics at the end chassis and body shells.

I was over at Racing Green this weekend. They have the red press car (PO55 BKD) in for some work. Apparently it had quite a big smash in Geneva - the front end didn't look to good.

They had quite a few Tuscan Convertibles around. Apart from the Laser Blue and Black cars listed for sale on their website, there was also a silver one and a blue one (the latter having some front end damage).
Any chance of getting their details?? Vin nos, mileage etc and a photo or two...Got 3 more we didn't have at Chatsworth... and one is paying £210 Car Tax, so we can save him some money...but I don't know his name.

I've only used the last 4 digits of the VIN number, since it strikes me that TVR used to sequentially allocate the last 4 digits for every car of any model type in a particular year, anyone could guess a valid set of last 4 digits. But the last 4 digits uniquely identify a Convertible since only produced from Sept 2005 (when nos were upto 300'ish) and May/June 2006 and only reached 80/90 ish. (I could just use the that 3 digits, since all start 1xxx). I hope I'm not giving any secrets away by say this. If I am can a mod delete this post.

Good suggestion that man biggrin
I've changed to Build No., we don't need the Year, as I say it becomes obvious from the build number. In fact those last four digits were the build numbers in the factory.

Nice one Simon, I'll update the register. Appears to be a '55 non-S(blue rocker cover).

Glow Worm, I think were going to find them all eventually.....

On anther matter Im thinking of writing a review of the Convertibles for Sprint magazine (Ive just written the Tuscan piece in this months) would you be interested in collaborating on this...
I enjoyed your article Paul, Yes, Why not , I'll jot a few things down (may finish up being an epistle) with a few build photos...you edit what you want and correct my English & Spelling...Keith

Re - The Register..I can understand peoples reluctance to give us "build numbers" but it does really help identify cars.. I've started including the advertised selling price on cars..may make it a field with date and mileage..To give us all a feel as to what are cars are now worth (other than priceless !!!)... Got my new diff...brilliant biggrin

One idea is to include ALL TUSCAN 2's in the register..(add the removeable TARGA hard tops)..I've no objection ... So what do you think...add the info here if you want to be included....I don't know about the number of Targa MK2s but its probably similiar to convertibles although over a longer period of time and there are some 3.6 Targas (so I'm told)

To make sure (based on TVR factory experience) we changed from the newer BTR M80 (8" I think) diff to the older M76 (7.75") diff http://www.bpw.co.uk/Automotive-DanaParts&Pric... , John Reid @ Grantura Engineering supplied, which meant changing the prop shaft to match, at the same time changed to 3:73 ratio diff from the 3:46 TVR had fitted. I'm told that the close ratio box was designed with a 3:73 diff. Cost well the diff about £700 (exchange ) and £210 for the prop staff then you've labour on top of that... My friends Heath & Paul at X-Works did it for me. I must say it has transformed the car at low end speeds, diff shunt has gone and the engine just feels better at low end take-off.

re the latest update to the registar, I'm sure that the car spotted at the Barn (s55 GCL) is a different car to the one at Racing Green (GX55 DKE). They are both seperately listed on the DVLA website and I've seen the latter (with the correct plates) in the last few weeks.
Sorry my fault, can't read my own writing...checked GX55DXE not GX55DKE hence didn't appear on DVLA so I thought the plates might have changed..Thanks I'll correct

That Estoril Blue one at Hexham looks suspiciously similar to the one that was at Racing Green - the same car perhaps? It could also be the 'light blue' one photographed on the production line

Edited by THB on Thursday 17th July 14:26
I think it's possibly the one of the line, John Simpson (alias Daftlad alias TVR owner) had bought it from after it was completed in the Barn, but the price was increased and John withdrew from the purchase.

Spotted these whilst browsing:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/atomicjam/684172863/

They look like Bishy's and 0-60's - but I thought I would point them out in case they aren't
Think you may have found one T4TVR appears on DVLA as March 2006, but the pic in 0-60's profile is of car reg PO55OFW Sept'05 ..TVRs old press car (or one of them)...both appear as multi colour...so I'm guessing two Cascade Indigo/Violets what do you think???
Also on the Factory PICs of V8GRF part complete black vert with what appears to be a body code of 1404 which would be correct for DEC '05 might be one of the one's without body code.

I nearly forgot PO55OFW is incorrectly registered as a PC and a not PLG, therefore has CO2 emmisions stated on the V5C. So he's paying £210 instead of £185.
