People, Advice required / opinions sort. I have an eGuard Telematics traker with GPS and GSM gizmoes that locate the car whenever it is stolen, and they phone me etc etc. Very good except the car won't last for more than a WEEK, then the battery goes sufficient flat that the car won't start (doors open, but not enough juice to turn the engine). Does anyone else have any advice / opinions. Unfortunately I have no power close to the car in the underground car park at home, so the trickle charger option is a no go, but as the lights are on 24 hrs, a solar type charger maybe a cool answer. Any other experiences? To make everyone laugh, it took 2 AA vans hooked up with an additional battery box linked to that £50 cable with the Andersen plug on it, to get the car started after not using it for 2 and a half weeks. Am I happy - errrrr no.
