GM Buy into Cunningham
US supercar manufacturer one step closer to reality
Discussion
It all sounds a bit incestuous to me. How can Lutz make critical commercial decisions about the Cunningham project-- in which he has a substancial financial and emtional stake-- when he (supposedly) answers to GM stockholders?
A high end grand tourer for the top of the US market is a great idea. But, um, isn't that Cadillac's niche?
Obviously, GM has a lot of money to splash around; they could lose $100m down the sofa and not really notice. But this will not make Lutz any friends withint the already insular GM bureaucracy. Are you with us or not Bobby boy? I predict that it will all end in tears.
