I just rang the tech guys at AP Racing to enquire about the thickness of the plates in the twin palate AP Clutch Unit.

They said the each plate is 7.11mm when new (Max)

And the best way to measure the thickness is with a Micrometer as opposed to a Vernier Callipers.

This is so you can clamp the each side to of the plate together when measuring

And the point where they are considered worn out (Min) is 6.11mm.

That is a valuable piece of information for me. It gives me all the info I need to decide if I want to keep my current clutch or have it relined and what the relined thickness should be.

Just thought I'd share.
