So I've got wet carpets and to help cut short the search I bought a cheapy ebay fog machine, put in the car to see where air leaks are coming from. This should show up where water is coming in, right?

So the smoke was coming out form the bottom of the door windows, opposite side to hinge - on both sides. Would this be a place where water could get into the foot well? The seals do look cracked and somewhat perished, is it possible to buy seals for this (not the door deals just the seal where the window slides up and down)?

What wasn't expected was smoke coming out of the bottom of the rear window. This I'm not sure how to repair without removing it which is probably a pro job.

Does it plug in to the lighter socket or do you connect it to a battery ?
just carefully place wires at bottom of door and close

so do we think it's possible for water to channel the window seal (bottom not door seal) and get into the footwell?
