It has been a long run with TVR 11 years now for me. The Cerbera is getting no attention at all as its been laid up for nearly 3 years. I have just ordered a service kit for it and plan to get it in for a MOT soon and stick it on the market, I have lost the interest in it and cars in general now so i feel its time to let someone else have the fun out of a great car.

All the Best Scotty

Ha ha , no not kids yet!!!! , Scuba Diving to be honest. I think I am just one of these people who becomes obsessed with a hobby. Also the roads are so bad in my part of the country with pot holes I could not bring my self to destroy the Cerb. frown

Scotty_d - where in Scotland are you?

Plenty good roads up my way (Dundee, East coast) which are perfectly TVR friendly smile
Kilmarnock, Ayrshire and the roads are shocking after the last few winters, they just fill the pot holes badly, my daily drive is a land rover and I am very glad for that!

I think you have to use them at least weekly to appreciate them. I find that the cerb is compliant over potholes on gaz gold and 40 section 18’’ tyres. Not the crashiest car I have had. And I can’t think of any replacement with - drama, visual and aural, comfort, performance and yes economy (25mpg on recent trip from Ayr to Aberdeen). Only downside is the amount of running maintenance but then it is 20 years old :-)
The pot holes we have turn your alloys in to 50p shape! One of the guys had to change all 4 wheels on his t350 recently , my Cerb is set up very well for the road, nitrons on softer eibach springs but I lose teeth in my freelander let alone a sports car, I would hate to be a biker in Ayrshire!

I sold my motorbike for a number of reasons but the state of our roads all around the U.K. are extremely dangerous for bikes there’s no question. Lack of investment in our infrastructure is something of a national tragedy in my book, I’ve also buckled a wheel on my TVR which also cracked the wheel frown
I've since gone back to higher profile tyres and winter ones at that in Rainsport 3 which has improved the ride tremendously. I don’t suppose these are desirable or even an option on a car that can push past 170 mph. So sad to see people selling up because they can’t even drive on public roads safely.
The Scandinavians can do roads, the French Spanish, Germans can make roads,,, whats bloody going on !
Pretty much sums it up for one of main factors for selling up, I am in the cusp of a deal with mine to a mate, so it won't be going far and I might take a wee van in PX that will fill my Scuba diving needs better. Who would have thought it PX a Cerb for a vauxhall combo van rolleyes

Hi Mate,
Shame to read this, got you down as a TVR forever type person,
That said understand where you are at over lack of use and poor roads,
Think the last time I saw you was Le Mans Classic 2016?
Anyways good luck with anything you do, a pleasure to have spent time in you and yours company ??

Hi Steve

Good to hear from you, yes it was LMC 2016 we last met! We came down in the Minis that trip.

Never say never, just a bit of a lifestyle change these days, I bought a new boat so we spend days away at a time on it as well, too many toys and not enough time to play !

Always been great to be in your company and the guys from your region, Ali and I always felt very welcome.

That's it gone Monday night, it has only went a few miles down the road to a friend, it took me over a hour to dig out all the spares I had collected over the years for it!

My wee classic mini is now back home in the garage where the Cerb lived, incredible the amount of space I have now.

Never say never about coming back to TVR but I don't think it would be a Cerb next time, have a itch for a Tam , T350 or a Griff, as not had one yet!

All the best and thanks for all the help over the years.

It's just a car, Scotty. You'll get over it.

I sold my cerb around 2008.

I hope to get over it shortly
