After a complete new set ignition components (upgraded to MSD boots & leads etc) and finally swapping the even bank lambda sensor, I now have a fine running car (almost)!
Jeez..... I love EvoOliies diagnostic program as it is simple to use and hook up but it sent me the wrong way a few times. Both of my lambda sensors were showing OK (having changed the odd bank recently) but my even bank was running horribly rich plus my throttle pot would not change settings away from +27 ish! Having had a flash of inspiration, I decided to use the spare lambda and swap the even side for new.......VIOLA!
Having adjusted everything again, I now have both banks flickering from -1 to -10ish and she runs like a star whilst idling at 950 rpm.
I checked the removed lambda with my multimeter & it was dead (zero resistance) yet the diagnostic program still said it was OK. It was as black as hell and no way could it have been working. I spent hours fruitlessly trying to adjust everything without success.
It just goes to show - just replace the damned things and be done with it!

Yep she was running really rich with zero throttle pot adjustability.
I’m just confused why/ how the diagnostics came up “ok.”........
I think EvoOllies software is awesome and I’m not putting it down in anyway as it has been invaluable. Does it just measure the heating circuit of the lambda, I wonder?
