Cerbera Lip Spoiler

Just got my first TVR, 4.2 Cerbera with upgrade to 390bhp via TVR Power in Coventry. Couldn't stop smiling all the way home from Cardiff to Maldon in Essex.
On the FTVR history, Henley's make a note that the front lip spolier is missing. Guy how sold it to me says that it's not a problem. Can any confirm and tell me what this is for?

THanks for all the replies. Spoke to TVR Power in Coventry and Blackpool. Engine upgrade is total bull! Engine was actually fully rebuilt but not upgraded. Slight worries about previous owners honesty?!
