And he really likes it.
Tell you what though, I wish mine would “self heal” (as he puts it).

A friend turned up with this yesterday - tuned to 800 bhp.
Took it for a blast on some B roads and it was an absolute monster, power everywhere and loads of it (with grip to match).

After getting back home, we were standing around and he started quizzing me about the Cerb - “how was it to drive?”. I realized it was actually very similar to the GTR, longish wheelbase, more GT than ‘out and out’ sportscar. But, although the Merc was stupidly capable and ridiculously fast, it didn’t have the tactility of the Cerb’s steering nor the connectedness of it’s chassis - the steering feel, brake feel and the manual gear change are all a delight on the Cerb. The pedals are perfect for heel and toe and the way the engine responds to a blip between shifts, is just so engaging.

Of course I then should have done the polite thing and offered to take him for a drive, but the boot and passenger door were inoperable and the door ECU was in bits on my desk :-(

Hi Imran, wavey

Good, funny story, so I thought "interesting" and did a search....

then I found €180 K !!!!yikes

For that sort of ackers, I would want the USS Enterprise ! (with Yeoman Rand grated, delicately on top) laugh

As this thread is on the subject now, a mate has just reported that he's 'invested' in a BMW5 F10 which has had a stage 2 remap to give 720 hp banghead

So he took it to The Isle of Man for a shakedown rofl

I mention it because it cost him £53 K which, in my mind, is good value HP / Buck thumbup
(Justt chewing the cud, that's all wink )

Hope that life in your FAB garage in Ontario is treating you well thumbup

PJ
wink

Hey Paul :-)
Glad you liked the story and I can assure you, that dam thing went at least as fast as the Enterprise (not sure about the YR bit), proper warp speed experience.
And no, they’re not cheap and I’m not sure how much value you get for the money. It’s not 4x the fun of a Cerb, although if you factor in reliability, it probably gets close ;-)

Definitely the fastest car I’ve ever driven (or even been in), but I wasn’t left wishing for one!

For that kind of money, I would recommend a GT3. A lot slower, but a hell of a lot more precise and fun.

Another point touched on by Imran, I like my sports cars as raw and engaging as possible, a criteria that makes the Cerbera perfect for me, hence over 18 years of ownership.

It doesn't stop me wanting to experience something like the GTR, or a Mclaren 570S, but I'm just not wealthy enough to consider one.

Lucky us with our incredible Cerberas smile
The lighter weight of the Cerbera always stands out to me as well, especially in comparison to a lot of performance cars. Full throttle in a Cerbera is an amazing and engaging/noisy experience I reckon! biggrin
Spot-on, much more visceral experience than pretty much any other car (this side of an F40).
