Ok, so this is how I do it, I'm sure others will say something different.
The bolt sizes are whats on my car, no guarantee they are the same on all, And the torque settings are from the AJP8 rebuild manual.

Replacing the Clutch

Hope it helps.

Edited because the original link has now been changed to the Clever Trevor web site.

You forgot to use the immortal Haynes phrase: "Refitting is the reverse of removal" !

Well done however, I hate that phrase!

Andy.

And "apply slight pressure" which translated means "its f@cking stiff so push hard" laugh

Thanks for the comments guys, I just hope i dont get Austecs, Trackcar or Levens sending me nasty Emails for loosing them business hehe

Nice one. I always too my gearbox out and changed the oil too. Remember if you are changine the slave you need to put the ports at the 6.30 position otherwise you will never remove all the air from the system.

As Nick says, there are 2 ports they should be positioned at the top and bottom to allow air to bleed out.
Here's a pic showing the port holes (This is NOT the Clever Trevor slave)

If you need any more advice just holla.

One piece of advice in advance would be, If you feel your loosing your rag with it, walk away get a cuppa and return refreshed. And dont rush it.

hehe how many times does this occur each clutch change?

The first time it was quite alot, now I can do it in my sleep

In case anyone is wondering why I have done my clutch so many times. Its not because I cant fit them properly, its because when my clutch first went it was at a time when there were no clutches available.
I found a supply of second hand clutches and at a 5th of the price of new. The trouble is life expectancy was a gamble. 2 S/H clutches lasted about 1 1/2 years. I was then put in touch with Clever Trevor.
My clutch has been trouble free since, except for one minor problem. I replaced the Slave cylinder but didn't apply loctite to the 4 bolts holding it in and it came loose. So out came the gearbox again.
All in all 4 times so far and i'm expecting to do it once more.
