Following the success of the last three, we have kindly been invited back to spectate/display a number of cars at the Saywell International Charity Track Day at Goodwood circuit on Sat 21st Oct.

As before, the plan is to meet for Breakfast and then drive in convoy down to Goodwood.

NB. This is a private event only for those actually taking part. We will rendezvous at a suitable location in close to the Surrey/Sussex border* at 8am, [where coffee and light breakfast will be available] and then depart around 9:00/9:15 for a 45min - 1hour convoy drive to Goodwood.

  • I will circulate exact location details a couple of days before and request that this information isn't shared with anyone else in order to keep the Breakfast meet private.
Those wanting to attend please copy & paste list below and add your details. Please also email me your name, car reg + details and a contact telephone number to supercarmeet@hotmail.com

NB. We are limited on capacity so cannot guarantee that we'll be able to accommodate everyone, but I'll try my best..

SIGN UP LIST

1. 100 IAN - 430 Scuderia
2. Theis - 911 GT3
3.

3. MarkM3 - AM Vanquish (to display & spectate only if possible)?
Access to the event at Goodwood is 'public', so if you're not wanting to do the convoy there's no need to sign up here.

Hi. I think I can make this, although I would have to confirm the Monday before.
I have a White Ferrari California.
Where is the exact meeting place for the convoy?
Thanks ??
Exact meeting point will be emailed to participant 48 hours beforehand as its a private get together and we're limited on space, that said it'll be between Guildford and Horsham close to the Surrey/Sussex border.

It will also be a different meeting point to any of the ones we've used previously.

Please copy & paste the list adding your details and email supercarmeet@hotmail.com with your name, mobile number, car reg and car details if you'd like to come.

Can someone expand a little on the format of the Goodwood please? I searched and found this link but detailed info is lacking.

Search in YouTube and you'll see numerous videos which will give you a flavour of what goes on. Often some very exotic cars and very informal.

Everyone on the list is doing the track day then ?
NO, this is merely convoy to Goodwood to SPECTATE ONLY.

The Supercars out on track are Peter Saywell's own cars and those of his guests.

Please sign-up by copying & pasting the list and adding your details (+email me your car reg, name & mobile phone number to supercarmeet@hotmail.com) if you'd like to take part. Thanks.

I will attend the breakfast, but won't be doing the trackday, if Ian is agreeable.
Some people come along for the Breakfast + Convoy to Goodwood and then head off home. Other's stay and spectate for an hour or 2, or the whole day, whatever suits their preference & family commitments.

Feel free to do whatever suits.

Please sign-up by copying & pasting the list and adding your details (+email me your car reg, name & mobile phone number to supercarmeet@hotmail.com) if you'd like to take part. Thanks.

  • ** The event IS still going ahead and details have literally just been circulated to everyone ****
We have between 30 & 40 car's taking part and there is still space for some more if anyone would like to come along.

The weather is going to be 'mixed' with 30-40% chance of some rain but also some sunshine in between. The weather is forecast to start off better in the morning than its likely to be later in the afternoon, so finger's crossed we'll get the better of it!

Please don't be put off, we have a great starting location and an interesting route planned down to Goodwood, which should take about an hour and is circa 36 miles long.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning.

Ian

Thanks to all who braved the weather on Saturday, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

A special "Thank You" also to Pescara International who kindly let us meet at their new premises and laid on coffee & pastries before we headed off down to Goodwood.

http://www.pescaracars.com/

Despite there only being a few of us we still donated £162 to Saywell International's Charity collection pot - A BIG "Thank You" to those that kindly contributed.

Finger's crossed the weather will be kinder next time.

Until the next one.... Chao!
