What a lucky chap you are if you've never seen one of these before.
The check engine light. It tells you nothing of any detail by itself, and is a catch-all for a long list of possible causes. There should have been a fault code generated when the light came on, so the dealer / specialist should be able to tell you what the actual fault is.
Indeed. Thanks. I called the dealer. Essentially, as long as its not lit up in red then its not an emergency. The check engine light. It tells you nothing of any detail by itself, and is a catch-all for a long list of possible causes. There should have been a fault code generated when the light came on, so the dealer / specialist should be able to tell you what the actual fault is.
its on an aventador s.
The light has since gone away again..which is comforting. The car is in warranty for several more years.
That light does seem to be a 'catch all' - ie. Its the car telling you: "something maybe wrong with me so take me to a dealer who will keep the car for 2 days and rip your b*lls off just to connect to a laptop and remove the light code - thanks"
