Welsh 500 - suggestions please

Last autumn, with some guidance from my Scottish workmates, we completed an alternative Scottish 500, leaving from and returning to Aberdeen. Fantastic roads and scenery, some of which I posted in another thread, ‘Why I love my Huracan’
Anyway I would like to plan a similar trip this year based in Wales, departing Wrexham area. 500 miles or thereabouts, 3 days, 2 overnight scenic and comfortable stopovers and of course excellent driving roads, but coupled with great scenery.
The [North] Welsh police seem to have a bit of a reputation for being less than supercar friendly so any hotspots to avoid would also be helpful. Huracan and AM DBS, one with lift, one without, so nothing too ‘off road’ please.
Over to the PH community for your recommendations of roads and hotels please, plus any other guidance you may have.

Thanks for the ideas and links, I will investigate them all. Once I have come up with a definitive route and tested it I will report back. In the meantime everyone please keep any ideas coming, it is very much appreciated.

Thanks Kewy. I have just treated myself to an AA super scale road atlas for the princely sum of £3.50 to help put all of this together.
