I've got a 2010 R8 V10 and read a lot on owners forums (mainly in the USA) that the car benefits quite a lot from being mapped. Has anyone on here has theirs done is it worthwhile and can anyone recommend someone in the North West?

Thanks I've heard of him but he's 3.5 hrs away I have a local APR dealer I might give them a call tomorrow. Can you let me know what you paid (pm if need be) and what difference it made?

It's booked in on Thursday at Awesome GTI in Manchester they have a rolling Rd so I will get a before and after print out. The general concensus is the V10 in the R8 is deliberately detuned and this map brings it up to its original state of tune/power. Apparently Audi didn't want to take sales from the Gallardo at the time. I even read its throttle by wire and you only get 80% of full throttle in the Audi! Seems there is definitely some truth in all this after researching on R8 talk.com plenty of before and after print outs and recommendations. Here is a link to APR UK... I will give you my thoughts on Friday proof will be in the eating eh...

I will post on Thursday night my results... Should be interesting being same day results on the same rolling rd as it won't matter if its optimist or pessimistic it will show a before and after map BHP readout.

So here's the printout was 487 BHP now 542... the guy thinks the valves could do with a carbon clean says another 20bhp most probably. But no matter if the read outs are low the difference on the Rd is night and day it feels a lot quicker especially top end of rev range. Under £1k am more than happy it really has made a difference. These are clutch readouts so I presume flywheel so lowish outputs but every rd is different at least mine is same day same rd results, but the increase is considerable and I am a happy chappy with the seat of the pants experience !

True but most rolling roads read differently lots always a fair bit higher than factory figures but I am happy I had it done..... You are right def worth doing!
