Just got word from my dealer who said the Huracan STO has been given the green light. Dealers were informed about the car at the annual dealer meeting. Here's what I was told about the car which will most likely be shown during Monterey car week at the Quail motoring show.

-The car will be named the STO (Super Trofeo Omologato)
-Will be a 2021 MY car.
-Limited production, right now the rumour is 700 cars but dealers are pushing it to be lower and numbered.
-Dealers with race teams will get priority for allocations. I was also told Lamborghini now has an internal grading system for customers so dealers will have to provide names of customers who are interested and the factory will have the final say.
-The car will look like the Super Treofeo race car,. It'll be the same HP as the EVO but will shed weight, around 150kg is the target.
-It might have some race tech like the brakes but nothing confirmed yet.
-It's already been tested at various race circuits, a VVIP customer I spoke with claims he talk to one of the test drivers for Lamborghini and he said the car is insane.

This could also be the last NA V10 and might be the Lamborghini to own if you can get allocation. Very excited to hear more about this car.

Totally forgot that it will be RWD. The factory is switching over to the EVO RWD soon and I was told that will be their focus next year hence why they're aiming for MY21 for the STO.

The feeling I get is HQ wants 700 cars because they can probably sell all 700 but dealers want limited becase the SVJ was a complete sh!t show. A year prior to the SVJ been released dealers were telling customers the SVJ would be around 800 total, coupe and roadster but that wasn't true. And the fact dealers, not just in the UK, are low balling customers who want to sell or trade their "limited" SVJ's is another big F you so it makes sense why dealers are pushing for a ultra limited car to please VVIP's.

I do have my name on list, i'm 2nd on my dealer list but I'll only commit if it's actually limited and if it actually looks like the race car. It would be nice to buy a modern Lamborghini that doesn't plummet in value.

Latest info or I guess rumour is it could be number limited, maybe around 400 cars but what I was told was no decision has officially been made regarding production numbers.

Silver lining for Performante owners is the EVO most likely won't have a Perfomante variant, the STO will essentially be the EVO Perf but at a higher price point & RWD.

Well guys my dealer showed me the STO PDF sent out to dealers and all I can say is WOW that car is stunning. So here's a few things I can share, I did snap some pictures of the PDF but for obvious reasons I can't post them.

-It was suppose to be shown next month at Quail but pushed back until Nov.
-It won't be number limited, production limited like the Performante but allocation might be tight.
-The rear bonnet looks like the SVJ and you have to remove it like the SVJ.
-Door panels, front/rear fascias, rear bonnet and louvres and vents will all be carbon. Not forged carbon.
-Will have an advance braking system, lifted from the racing cars.
-Will have the large rear wing like the race car, also in carbon fibre.

Honestly it's the Lamborghini to own and hold forever, it's absolutely insane. I also found out that there's a new entry level mode in the works, not sure when it'll come out and no idea what platform it's going to be based on or what it'll look like. There's also a very exclusive limited edition in the works not based on the Aventador and Huracan.

Yup smile

In regards to the roof scoop...I didn't see it in the PDF unless it was on a page I didn't get to see. In one snap I took of the PDF there is a picture of the rear of the car but no hood scoop like shown in the spyshot. I wonder if it'll be an option.

Also forgot to add the STO will have racing wheels, racing seat belts and roll bar.

No pricing info but I can see it priced around 300k with options.

Right now there's mix signals from HQ on how limited this car will be. Initially I was told it would be number limited, that changed to the STO would be like the HP, limited by production year and anyone could order one.Now I'm hearing it'll be allocation limited similar to the AMG GTR Black Series.

I'm basically on the list to get one, it'll be my 7th Lamborghini so I get allocation for any Lambo but bit wary about losing a boatload of money like I have with the SVJ so we'll see how many STO's they produce.
