Do you have a link to this auction?
https://collectingcars.com/

Register, then ‘Watch’ all the cars you’re interested in, and then bid on the ones you want.

Well the R8 V10 spider wans't much of a bargain at £74 with the 6%
There is a very similar one with an Audi dealer (so warranties etc) up for £4k more before haggling frown
Absolutely as i have said before people think the auctions are cheaper when in fact they go for more money.

ebay items are just unbelievable, i.e buy now items say £20 auction biding still going strong at over this amount amazes me.
It seems the CC pricing isn’t as transparent as it as first appears.

I followed the Audi auction and it reached £66,500 at the end of the sale so I was surprised to see a ‘Selling Price’ of £69,500.

It’s been suggested by another member that the ‘Selling Price’ includes the buyer’s fee. If it is stated as ‘Winning Bid’ then this does not include the buyer’s fee. The conclusion being there is discretion on how much fee is applied when close to reaching a reserve price.

A few sites are popping up now with much more reasonable fees than CC.

I think they have (already) had their day.
In the UK? Can you post the links?

Ref. today's silver 991.1 GT3 on Collecting Cars, it has disappeared off their website. What a joke. Did the bidding go much higher than £72k? Looked like a very low mile, mint car albeit no roll cage or race seats. A real shame Collecting Cars don't tell the whole truth by displaying and retaining on display ALL bids on ALL cars, whether they sell or not. Bring a Trailer do this. Most annoying and IMHO unprofessional, in this day and age.
I think it had a service and a mot due, small points but equally minor things the seller should have sorted prior to listing (to build confidence).

I assume the auction ended and it didn't sell, hence why it is no longer listed.
If you mean the 2014 Rhodium Silver one that ended a day or two ago, that reached £78.5k but unsold as did not meet reserve.
