I guess this question would have been thrown out there a few times, This is not to offend but I really want to know how people can afford to buy Super cars and not just one but sometimes three or four. Asides from the few who might have been lucky enough to have a wealthy family or a company that makes millions. What kind of saving strategy can you do even if it takes 10-15 years to actually finally get your dream car. I know that most people dont have a cool $250K to half a million burning a hole in our pocket and i realize cars all vary in price if is $100K car or $500k car or even a million and even if you make $100K a year paying the car off on the weekly or monthly payments still does not give you much money to play around with.

After I experienced my first ride in the Ferrari F-430, the sound and speed its just amazing, not everyone gets to experience that and I wanted to start a company that offered that experience where people could drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini, Where i live there is nothing like that.

Thanks for the advice look forward to hearing from you all.

Some good, and interesting answers. I agree it depends on how you want to live your life choices, there is no right or wrong answer if you wish to settle down and have a family, or live your life buying toys. Facts its true if you own a super car you need the funds to keep it on the road, no point having one if it sits in the shed 360 days of the year because you cant afford to run it or service it. I was just interested to know if anyone started of with not much money and managed to achieve the car of there dreams regardless the time it took them to get it.

I know people out there give super car owners flack because, yes i know some can be a nuisance and do silly dangerous things on the road
or we buy them to show off. For me I am nothing like that, yes i like to go fast but I would never put someone life at risk or do it to upset the neighbors
or show off. For me personally I like toys and sadly I cant have kids, I just like to make goals and work hard to achieve them,

This is strange, every time I try to make a comment on my own thread I keep getting a message saying new members cant comment due to abuse this will be for a few hours ?

Reading though the comments, I asked the question without being a millionaire or have a business empire how do people afford Super Cars ? The question was not bought up for the reason that your un happy and you need to buy your friends and girlfriends so you can be a semi show pony. This is not a matter for Doctor Phil.

Reading though the comments and from what has been said, I have to agree its all about setting goals and working hard at what your good at and making yourself top at it. Everyone has to have goals and work up the ladder towards them no matter how big or small. Achieving these goals does not mean you cant go without finding the right partner and having a family, or the dream holiday. It is no difference than aiming for a huge house with seaside view, backyard swimming pool, or a huge boat to go fishing ect. Would I give up the things I love in life for a car hell no. Do I have goals of course I do. I am not after a super car because I want to buy people’s friendship or hang out with the wrong type of people.

The one thing after talking to a friend today and what some of you have said, buy a second hand super car at the right time, they have come down allot in price unless there some rare thing which only goes up in value and nobody drives them as a daily driver so they all have fairly low km on them and you have them at a fraction of the price.

I have to agree priories first, paying off your house, the last thing you want to being doing is getting into debt that is difficult to get out of. In marketing we are always taking risks, with failure and reward.

The amount of jobs I have applied for and failed to even see a interview, if I gave up I would not be in the job I am today, build up my own business and even be thinking of buying a supercar.

When you use the term super car and even fiancé, some of the cars are not overall priced like a Ferrari F-430 or a Lamborghini Gallardo, they maybe not the late set and greatest but your own the right path, own the car for a few years sell it and work towards something else as there is always going to be someone in the same boat. I know it is not a car and it maybe taken for granted by some but the Jeep Grand Cherokee’s, the SRT has huge amounts of power and they are fairly cheap for what you get. But I agree there is allot of good advice people have posted. Keep it up maybe we can write a book, better than those books about how to get rich fast, the only person getting rich is the person you bought them off.

Well everyone thank you for the comments and wish me luck in hopefully the near future on my first super car purchase, and for everyone else who wish to do the same i wish the best of luck towards your dream purchase. The decision comes down to when you have the funds what do you buy. I realize price will vary deepening on where you are in the world. What is people thoughts on these.

Jeep Track hawk, ok its not a car but with the big hemi it produces 700 horse power and can be boosted up to 1000 horsepower and has the most space.
Ferrari F-430 one of the cheapest Ferrari you can get i believe, but heard they have major issues with the clutch ?
Lamborghini Huracan older around year 2007 and up.
Audi R8 V10
around 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo lp spyder

Out of all these cars the Huracan where i am based is the most expensive but what are peoples thoughts on these cars.

Ok I think the topic has drifted of course, If you want a daily driver buy the likes of a Honda or a Toyota and they will run and run with very little issues. But we don’t buy Supercars for that reason and if you can afford to buy the car you need to afford to keep it on the road. We buy Super Cars because they are unique, fast, loud and draw attention and of course hand made parts. They are not designed to be the car you go out and do your weekly shop in and travel every day to work in. Not saying you cant just saying that is not what they are designed for. We take them out on trips and day out or car shows ect. I think the fact comes down to how much you can afford and how quickly you want to get into a supercar. If you cant afford a Hurican at the time being and you really want to start driving a super car and you can afford for example a F-430 for a few years till you then can afford the Hurrican, or you use the money as a deposit keep saving or get a loan out on it.

Personally for me I want a Ferrari F-430 as my first super car, as long as I can find it at the right price with a good service history, it may not be perfect but its a start, I would then at some stage to get a Hurican and when the times comes go to a 911. Not to say this will happen but this is my goals. Would I give this all up for a family of course I would, but since I cant have kids these will have to be my babies wink

Ok so i am totally regretting using the words R8 and Maserati in the same sentence. First off they are both nice cars and actually I spoke to a car dealer today who sells cars that most people cant afford, like the Ferrari La Ferrari and P1 including the Chiron. The owner states that the Audi R8 V 10 is a under rated supercar but its not classed as a super car. No arguments enough said. This is how to save for a Super Car not what is a super car and not what isn't.

Has anyone seen the Youtuber Exotic car hacks ? If so anyone know if the process works or just allot of marketing rubbish ?

Jake enough already about the R8, I don’t actually care if its not a super car. But honest mate I am going to take more notice from someone who has driven more super cars and hyper cars in his life selling them around the world than someone who owns a R8 and debate.’

Enough said. Reading though what everyone has contributed and people I have spoken to its not impossible to buy a supercar without being a millionaire or a high flying job as long as you work hard, proprietary on the things you need like paying for a house first and if you can afford the payments even fiancé the car. Looking on the web super cars no matter how much you drive them allot of the popular cars don’t lose money for the amount of km you put on it as long you don’t make silly modifications to it.

Where I am based there are only a few Ferraris and Lamborghinis listed for sale in my country and this does not relate in anyway to Covid 19.

Currently for sale is 26 Lamborghinis

The cheapest Huracan is 2015 10,000km at $255,00
2015 Huracan Lp610 23,000km $280,000

47 Ferrari

Cheapest F-430 is a a 2008 with $175,000
Cheapest California is a 2010 with 30,000 km for $153K

These are the prices you have to deal with and these are all private and not from a dealer. With a bit of haggling I guess you might get some off but the likes of Canada and the USA well you can see why you work allot harder for entry level super cars.

You know something, I thought you guys were car people who shared a passion for motor vehicles and share your passion with others. Is it jealousy for the reason you laugh at others because they have managed to work for something they want and you cant ? People have the right to there own apion and maybe I am not the best at spelling and my spell checker auto corrects and spells it different. If you want to mock or spit on peoples dreams and success go ahead it just shows what kind of people you are, just because what car you drive or who you are does not mean they should be treated any differently. All I wanted to do was share a passion for cars and find out how do you save for super cars. They did not mean I had $100 in the bank and thought if I put $10 away. Have I been waiting a week fk no, For you guys that laugh, mock what you want there are two people in life doers and dreamers. The ones that laugh you guys are dreamers the ones that window shop and could not afford the wiper blades. This is my last post I have said what needs to be said.

Yes they are nice and allot of car for your money. I have to look into them more as I know they tend to wear though the clutch fairly quickly and can cost allot to replace. But for sure they are a great Car.

I love the bill board but you have it all wrong, first off I am Asian and look nothing like that, also i am pretty plain with my fashion sense suit and tie perhaps would have worked better. Before you judge yes English is not my first language so apology and i was not here to offend anyone. My topic was not how can i afford to buy a Super Car ? It was how to save up for super car ? I want to know how others did it not the way i did it. None of you know me, how much money i make or what i do for a living or how long i have been saving. Dont judge others, and I could send you all the pictures of the car you like with the smug face like Jezza you all like. So here is the pic you wanted.

You say my English not good , i tried to learn your Language learn to speak mine here is a photo you all wanted to see

I don't think we were saying that your English is not good - at least I wasn't. I was simply saying that some of the phrases you used suggested that it may not be your first language, and that probably contributed to some of the misunderstanding on the thread.
Im not on here trying to make fights, im just taking the piss, but sorry if what i said was misunderstanding it was not intended. Im sure if you meet me we would be good mates. I just take the piss its how i unwind .

Actually if you read my first reply to this chap, I thought my opinion might actually be of interest & took the time to compose a helpful response, his reply was uncalled for - apparently OP would rather hear from people who travel round the world buying / selling hypercars than listen to an owner of 2 of the cars he apparently wants to buy.

He then said that he bought a Huracan yesterday, then deleted the post, and has now put up a joke picture of Clarkson driving one.

I think you are being kind explaining this behavior as a language issue.
Yes i did appreciate it until you started going off stupid at me mocking. Yeah i did i could send you plenty of pics of the car but if i did you still would not believe me. I did take your advice seriously and you have no idea how long i was waiting for this car to come up. I deleted because what is the point of being mocked for something that is true. I really wanted to share the story behind it and you thought the entire amount was st.
