What does the 355 cost to run?
Discussion
I'm looking at buying a 355 in the very near future, ideally a 355 GTS. Service intervals are at 12K right? what, in your experience does an average year cost?
The last thing I wanna do is buy one and then have to get rid of it 'cos of the running costs.
I know it'll cost a heck load more that my 911 does!!!

Thanks for the advice guys, oh, and girls --oops made a fatal mistake in assuming there - in fact, I should know better, a friend of the family (female) owns a ferrari. No, really, thanks - even if the thread did go off at a tangent ;-)
I think I'll just get one anyway - if it goes wrong I'll just sell the house and live in the car! ;-)
Watch this space!!! Anyone had any dealings with Talacrest?
Ins. quote was £2135 - not bad really considering my EVO 6 TME was £1750

Oh ok :-) must have missed something. The guy at Talacrest said to reserve 2 - 2.5K a year for maintenance.
...just remember a friend who had a 348GTS ... last year of ownership cost 10K!! yikes! I can handle 2 - 2.5K but 10K is a litle outta my league at the mo'
...hmmm how much equity do I have in my house ;-)

LOL I think £60K is gonna have to be my limit :-( it's either that or a 328GTS & yeah it is the 95GTS, although Maranello have a 96GTS I think. Anyway, the story is...
I gave a friend of mine a lift to the local TVR dealer last week to pich up his Chimera and was persuaded by the service manager to take out a Griff 500 the following day (didn't take much persuading). So I took the Griff 500 out and then noticed a new Tuscan S in the showroom :-) The last recollection I have of a "speedsix"'s Tuscan S is in LeMans - nice!
...then it struck me..the £49Kish price tag was in Ferrari territory, and I've always wanted to own a Ferrari since I was ickle. The sound they make is fab.. I remember chasing a 328GTS in my Esprit Turbo SE a couple of years ago ...what a fantastic sound!!!!
...So unless my next car has a prancing horse on the bonnet, I'm not interested - probably.
Plus I want to own one before I get to 30 - not long left now.
