I've recently had my cam belts changed and now seem to have a drop in power as I accelerate hard in 3 & 4 gear going through about 5000 revs (very brief drop).
Has anyone had any similar experiences of this?

I had some thing similar on another car and it turned out to be the air flow meter but I've not heard of this problem on a 3200 GT.

Its gone into the dealer for the safety recall, so I've asked them to have a look at the diagnostics!!

I assume there must be 2 air flow meters on the V8??

Will let you know!

I don't see how it can be a problem with an air flow meter as they are not fitted to 3200s. Pressure sensors upstream and downstream of the throttle, charge (air) temp sensor, anti-knock sensors and a boost control solenoid, yes but AFM no.

If I understand correctly, you are describing a full throttle flat spot @ 5000 rpm after a cam belt change that did not exist prior. Worst case is incorrect valve timing introduced with the belt change. More likely is engine / chassis / engine management unit earthing probs and therefore suggest resistances are checked first.

Thanks for that, I did not realise there was no air flow meters fitted!!
Hopefully something will show up on the diagnostics. If it was valve timing surely this will be a huge power drop??
I hope it is something straight forward!
