I've heard that tubi's can transform a ferrari's natural sound for the better. It seems the 355 is one of the best sounding too, according to various owners out there. So what's the ultimate ferrari sound combo then? Can the new 360's sound as impressive? I've only ever seen 360's parked up.

Exclude all aftermarket mods etc..... in no partciular order:

F355 - probably the best stock sounding engine EVER.

275GTB/4 Competizione.
F50.
Daytona.
365GTB/4BB.

In fact most older Ferraris will give the new ones a kicking in the sounds stakes. This might be controversial but I reckon the 360M sounds absolutely HORRIBLE in stock form. I know Ninja agrees too.

I personally wouldn't get the car if you couldn't change the stock sound, but then I'm a bit of a pratt and probably enjoy the sound aspect of cars more than I should

From what I heard, the 360 sounds like a kazoo!

The 360 that the nice man at a local dealer in Wilmslow took me out in sounded fg amazing, just went down there with me mate to have a nose around and he took us out for a spin (individually of course).

just about anything from the 50-70's, the more cylinders the better! (Daytona, 250's, BB). As far as the modern's go, Basher's de-catted, TUBI'd 355 spyder is about the best thing I've ever heard.
Oh, not forgetting the F1 cars.....

2 512s and and a 312 on the startline at Silverstone, Coys Festival Historic Ferrari race a few years ago, absolutely amazing, and they had to restart the race beacuse of an off on the first lap so we got it all again

The grandstands were vitually empty so the echos and reverberation added to the effect.

If you ant an idea listen to the 512S from the 'Into the Red' CD

B - you just name the time.......

I thought I'd add that Frosties 550 is (post mods) VERY remiscent of a 70s Ferrari 512S - a kind of brassy resonant roar....

i will have to agree with davidy on the coys start line sound!!the 512S certainly does it for me,a flat out 512BB LM also gets the hairs on end.best sound of all time?,it will have to be the 1950s BRM V16 grand prix cars,if youve never heard it,you must!!!imagine 100 ducati 916s off the line, its better!!
