Sunday Service 13/04: Morgan factory

In a Sunday Service first we're off to the Malvern Hills....

The lovely people at the Morgan Motor Company factory, based in Malvern, have kindly invited us along for our very first Sunday Service with them, taking place on Sunday (no surprises there) April 13. The usual Sunday Service rules apply: park up, buy breakfast rolls and a have a chat with like-minded folk. In addition you can take part in a tour of their factory where you'll see these famous cars being built and, as if that wasn't enough, you'll also be able to book passenger rides too*.

The Morgan Motor Company Ltd was established by H.F.S. Morgan in 1909 when he designed the first Morgan three-wheeler, and the first four-wheeled Morgan was produced in 1936. The Aero 8 was launched in 2000, which was a major achievement for such a small company, and was developed to take the marque into the 21st century. Since its launch, the Aero Range has continued to evolve and now consists of the Aero SuperSports and its fixed head sibling the Aero Coupe. In 2011 they re-launched the Morgan 3 Wheeler, a modern interpretation of the classic design. Despite all the new stuff the 'classic' range of Morgan cars continues with engine sizes ranging from 1,600cc to 4,800cc and all of these cars will be available to view on the day.

*The passenger rides on offer will be an enjoyable experience lasting approximately 15 minutes through the Malvern Hills for a charitable donation of just £10 to the Marfan Trust (Morgan's charity of choice) and will be on a first come first served basis.
