Surrey Meet 4 - 11am, Sunday 3rd Sep, Fairmile Pub, Cobham
Discussion
Apologies for the short notice, all. I had to take Mrs9 on holiday before she killed me!
The last meet was a 40-car cracker and the weather looks to be good on Sunday, yet again (we've been unbelievably lucky)
There has been some interest in another meet, so here we go...
1st Meet: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
2nd Meet: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
3rd Meet: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
The usual details:
All cars are more than welcome to come to The Fairmile Pub in Cobham (close to A3/ M25) on Sunday 3rd September for a meet:
http://www.chefandbrewer.com/pub/fairmile-portsmou...
The pub will make drinks available to us from 11am and people are obviously free to use the pub from 12pm opening.
Would be great to meet some fellow PHers and see a nice variety of cars.
There is loads of parking and we can use the green out the front for parking/ display.
There is also a Shell garage, opposite, so we can all fill up with the good stuff or use the Jet Wash.
Lets get a list going:
1. Dom9 - Renault Clio V6 Phase 1 (Illiad Blue)

Nice mix of cars coming!
The more, the merrier - spread the word!
Hoofy - know what you mean about mpg but big tanks. Think we one-stopped Monaco home in the 545i, fully laden!
Could keep the MGF for parts: http://www.speed3automotive.co.uk/

I posted in there and got done by the powers that be for spamming or something
I am fairly sure we don't all visit every subsection on here, everyday. Still, them be the rules I suppose!
Keep 'em coming!

bks, I'm at Twickenham all day tomorrow............and some of the evening, plus if it's nice then along the river at Richmond for far too many beers so won't be fit to drive Sunday am this time I'm afraid
So am I! I'm still intending on being able to drive by 11am the next day... Despite downloading the Click & Collect bar app!Or Mrs9 can drive me
I'll be there at 11am sharp but 90% of folk are there by 11:30am, I'd say.
Tends to be all done and dusted by 1pm.
The old weather is a bit average but it'll still be the 4th in a row we've avoided rain:
All are more than welcome - the more, the merrier!
May also be the last (for now) as Oct isn't in the diary as I thought it would be colder/ wetter and people would be less interested.
However - that is up for review if there's interest!

Thanks for coming, guys and girls!
Was a bit of a funny one, this month. The turnout wasn't bad at all but lots coming and going with other commitments etc.
Nice spread of metal, as always (20+ cars), but it's a shame the weather wasn't as great has it had been (with a bit of rain at the end there).
Nothing in the calendar for any future meets - will see what the appetite is for October and what the weather is doing.

Owned by Traxx's Mate (Tim, I think).
I believe the rear bodywork came from the US and was installed by Design911, who may have also painted it.
The front is a little different from the race cars as it retains the pop ups (think the car had the flat nose when he bought it) to be road legal.
It's an NA 911 under there, think it will become turbo, one day. Not sure about the brakes/ dampers etc but the exhaust sounded fruity!
Those rear wheels looked so wiiiiiiiiiiide!

I seem to remember it being the white GT3 that gave it the beans but most made a good effort to liven up the Portsmouth Road
GT3 certainly seems to sound more 'menacing' than the GT4, perhaps not surprisingly.
But I still think the GT4 is one of the best looking/ proportioned cars out there at the moment. Something very 'right' about it.
Might stick a poll up for an October meet, to see who is up for it... Just don't want to get the pub's hopes up if it's bucketing down.
An indoor meet just wouldn't be the same, sadly.
