RWD, Lightweight Classic & Modern Classic Runs - South Downs

Love British light weight sports cars, but can't afford an Atom, Zenos or a Radical? You're at the right place! I'd like to gather a group of RWD minded people, who love the likes of MX5's, Lotus', Caterham's, MG's, TVR's, Triumph, Z3's, MR2's, VX220's, Ginetta's, Noble's, Morgan's, Ford's, AC's, you name it! -Ideally it'd be a chance to celebrate 'light is right' with classics or modern classics rather than mighty Godzillas with a million BHP...- and go for morning runs or trips to Goodwood & Bands in 2018.
Yes, the MX5 isn't exactly British, in spite of Clarckson's quote. Hence the quotation marks, both on British and affordable, cause let's face it, we do spend quite a bit of money on them... but you know what I mean.
Glad you like the idea of gathering 'light weight' RWD, it could be a great atmosphere and fun ride.
Perhaps we can meet at Goodwood service on Sunday 17th Dec (I should normally be back from travelling for work, but I'm not 100% sure).
Or we can play it by ear and arrange a civilised run early next year ?

Oh and I wanted to clarify, this is a thread for those who enjoy RWD cars.
It's absolutely fine if you don't see the attraction of RWD, but please be constructive here, therefore no need to insist on FWD
For those interested, please send me directly a message with a preferred location to meet (and any details you find relevant) and I'll put together a little casual event suggestion
We'll see how far into Kent we go, Dover seems out of range for the first few events I think, but let's see how this evolves

Thank you all for joining this thread. Our first run is in (basically) two weeks, we'll be in East Sussex. We'll look to do future events between West Sussex & Kent. If you haven't contacted me already, please don't hesitate and I'll send out details of our 1st run, next week at the latest.
If we've spoken already, please do send me an other email, as a reminder just in case, I don't want to leave anyone behind!

So far, many of you are available on the 11th Feb. Does it work for everyone ?
We've got a good bunch of people with cool cars joining the group, I cannot wait to get this convoy going! C'mon!

Postponing today was probably the right thing as the weather isn't inspiring, as expected. Most of you (on & off the forum) have confirmed to be available on the 11th Feb. Good news!
Anthony & I have tweaked the itinerary slightly, it should be fun!
Don't hesitate to drop me a line in the meantime. Looking forward to our run!

Thank you to all who could join the run in the early hours of this morning - It was great fun and in spite of a grey sky, we had a really cool run.
We've now reached a number which is optimal for the running of this little event.
If you are interested in joining us, do get in touch (simply email me), and we'll put you on our 'waiting list' for now, there will always be a couple of places available when core members can't make it.
