Been running in the USA for a while by the looks of it, first one coming to Goodwood in August and specifically aimed at 80/90's display cars only. Wondered if anyone else here is thinking of attending?

Literally no idea tbh!

Not seen it advertised anywhere other than social media which is a little concerning as not sure where the organisers are expecting people to hear about it. Personally I would have thought they would be banging the drum with more than the odd post in twit world for a new event with no history in the UK, especially considering the ticket pricing!

As it's the first event over here there is no precedent either with regard to what to expect, however as I like the era of cars this is targeting I guess unless you go you will never know so to speak. Could be a flop or could be great, one hopes for the latter......

So in follow up, a few thoughts. Pre-event advertising certainly needs improving for next year as numbers were not massive by Breakfast Club comparisons and talking to people throughout the day they all said similar. From a show perspective though, what a great idea for an event and I really enjoyed it. The cars that attended were great to look at and the fact it encompasses literally anything and everything from the period and in any condition really makes it great as you just don't know what you're going to stumble across next. People wise, everyone was really cheerful and happy, with a great chilled out atmosphere and was easy to just randomly start chatting to people and understand the story of they pride and joy. The period background music was bang on and I often, without realizing, started tapping a foot when some classic old school tune popped up. This coupled with the dressing up element and the period items also brought along was a great touch and certainly raised a smile at some of the simply mighty efforts by some, hats of to those.

80's/90's cars here in the UK are very prevalent with a great following so i'm sure this event can only grow once word gets out. Really hope it does and hope to see a bigger attendance next time round. If you're thinking of coming next time, definitely make the effort i'd say thumbup

Hiya Ian, yes I took mine, even managed to win a prize which was an added bonus smile There ended up being 3 LC's in attendance which is a rarity in itself.

Didn't realize that was your Evo Adam until I was chatting to your Dad when he was getting the car to move it for pics. Such a cool car.

As ever great pics and look forward to seeing anyone else's from the day.
