Following some interest in the "worst first dates" thread, this is just a quick gauge of interest for the potential of a "Hair and Pie" meet in central London. Would probably be on a Friday night starting in a still to be determined Boozer around the Liverpool Street area then deteriating down hill rapidly towards Shoreditch taking in numerous pubs with live entertainment en route before being thrown out of "Browns" and ending up in the "Hairy Axe Wound". Also the night has the potential to take in a "Curry" or maybe carry on till the really wee small hours clubbing.

Suggestions ??????

Oh yes sorry to the lady Ph ers but feel free to organise your own "Ann Summers and Pie" if you so wish.

Right thats good enough lets set a date rather than let a thread go on for pages of what if's.

25th October ?

i.e pre BT&P just to add to the cringe value the week after

25th Done

Sorry Podie but go the day before, The Telegraph day still has the two for one offer and hopefully shouldn't be so full of peasants blagging brochures. I'm like N17 once we get into November Fri/Sat nights get a bit busy with the party season. Besides it actually appeals more to have it pre BT&P.

Potential problems as I see them.

1) Very few of us actually know each other by face so the initial "meet up" might be tricky. Now normally in a car park full of exotica it's easy, but in a crowded boozer full of erotica it might be harder (not literally). And no I'm not wearing a red carnation uder the clock at King Cross, but any ideas ?????

2) Keeping the group togeather and yet still getting in to places. My thoughts are that we pre decide a route and drift along it at will, if people decide they've "fallen in love" en route and stay thats up to them but they will still know that some of us will be curry at the Taj Mahal (or whatever) and then more beer in really late drinking hole. So to this end maybe people fancy coming with "real world" mates as well ????? The more the merrier (or the bigger the fight at the end of the night )

I'll need some help doing a route as contry to popular belief these aren't regular venues of mine and I'm not known by name on the doors (well not many). Any good Brick Lane Curry suggestions ????

Also how about start time, now for the London day dwellers obviously about six is fine (or even 12) but I think maybe 8 ish to allow for the likes of Mungo to get in from the sticks???

Opinions ?

It is as far as I'm concerned, and I suppose we have to ask Ted to add for an official endorsement of the use of the "Pie" logo and add it to the calender

Right because I'm hopeless and because we appear to have relatively small numbers, we'll be meeting up as suggested in Pitcher & Piano on Bishopsgate at about 8, we won't leave till about 9 and then intend folowing our noses (or knobs) heading east. If all those that are going drop me an email I'll dish out my mobile number left right and chelsea, I'm aiming to be there about 7ish with Mungo and Flasher intending getting on it about lunchtime, stand by for the carnage.

Last time I was in Browns they actually had a lap dancing estate agent (swept back hair, glasses, pin stripped suit, webbing and great tits) could that have been SGirl. Anyway please SGirl if your coming say now or don't turn up, I can't handle a re run of VW with Flasher walking around speculating about every female from the ages of 6 to 85, "SGirl ???"
