Romanymagic and I are organising another Kent Run driving with a bit of East Sussex. We'll be hooning down the same great country roads as before (with a few changes) but the order we do them will be different.

Date: Sunday, 15-Oct-06
New Meeting Place: TBA (near Junc 3 of the M25)
New Meeting Time: TBA (1hr earlier than last time)

The run will take about 3.5hrs including time for a couple of stops to allow people to catch up and where people can leave/join if they don’t want to do the whole run. We'll be finished before the pubs open so we'll end with 'brunch' somewhere near where we started.

If you want to attend, reply to this thread and also type email me through my profile to let me know. A few days beforehand, we'll reply to your email with the meeting time/place and stop times/places. I'll also send an Itinerary file so that anyone with a Tomtom can load up the route - let me know if you have a Tomtom.

It was quite difficult to contact everyone last time, so this time Romanymagic and I will only be sending details out to people that have emailed me through my profile.
soapbox

After we've had brunch, a few of us will be heading on to the meet at The Woodman:

A great drive this morning, particularly the first stint with no traffic and no navigational errors!

No such navigation problems for Team1 hehe (makes a change!). The second stint was definitely better than the first - sorry you guys in Team2 didn’t get to see it properly. I'll make sure that me and RM synchronise tomtoms better next time…

we were upto around 130 miles!

That must have been some detour - the whole run was 110 miles, let alone 130 miles to Linton!! driving

Nice pics Damien thumbup
Did anyone else take some? ...Evil Dr Fish?

could of done with sticking to mainly a and b roads really instead of narrow country lanes.

About 95% of the run was A and B roads. There were only about 5 miles worth of country lanes (out of 110 miles) but on those occasions, it was a choice between the lanes or going through larger towns and getting stuck in traffic. Of course, if you were in the second group you would have taken a few unplanned detours in both parts of the run so RM and I will make sure our tomtoms are better syncronised next time. rotate

With Mrs.J expecting baby No.2 soon and a few other things on, I'm not sure if I can attend another run this year so it'll be down to RM to organise/lead and I'll attend if I can.

RM, lets have a beer and curry and work on a plan...
