So where are we next year?

What's the entertainment? apart from Nick being generally nasty to Pug 106 owners wink

Any dates? I suggest NOT the coldest May bank holiday on record laugh

Oh, and the football, if we do see it fit to go ahead with the games, perhaps the venue would be so kind as to not put the goals up 6.843 miles away from the campsite biggrin

Track time seems a good idea if possible again, there were a few that went out, and I'm sure that there would have been plenty more had Snetterton not done it's best impersonating the french canal system (complete with bright green canal boat hehe)

Looking forward to it, wherever, whenever.

It would've been a lot easier to cope with the weather if we'd had a bit of decent indoor space to call our own - especially if there was a kit drying room thumbup - and loo/shower less far away.
The showers were fine where they were as long as you took a bit of cash to buy a coffee half way there, then another on the way back, just to prevent limbs from ceasing to move.

Not too sure what your issues were with the loos? I had one behind my tent...and yours wink

Maybe somewhere more central or even, dare I say it "northun!" ... possibly Peak District or, if access to a race track is a must, maybe Cadwell or Oulton.

No idea if any more thought has been given though.
bounceyes

Balance out Snetterton - northwest time for sure. yesyesyes
yikes Northwest! That's miles away!

God I'm selfish hehe

I'll go anywhere, as long as good weather gets put on order biggrin

As a note, as i've now been, I now realise how friendly it is, and actually quite suitable for kids, I expect we'll hire one of those big RV thingys next year, and let the sprogs run riot hehe

What about somewhere like Shelsley Walsh - Not exactly North (south of Brum), a hill climb course for a change, and (I think) ample space for camping etc? (Also not exposed like Snett)
Sounds good

Any news? Somebody? Please?

If I don't hear soon, my wife will be using my holiday allowances for non motoring stuff yikes

I do like the idea where it's tied in with an event. Wandering around the paddocks at Snetterton, what with all the activity going on was quite interesting. I watched far more racing than I thought I would, it's a nice distraction.

Track time is a good idea, although I think the weather put this year's participants off, a dry day I'm sure would attract far more.

Big Field?
Racing?
Go karts?
Concours Comp? (bit of competition never goes amiss)

I'd just really like to know what venues have been shortlisted....

Then how about Silverstone Britcar24hr race in Sept, phone jt he would do something.
September? Are you crazy? We got the coldest bank holiday on record in May, if they do it in September it'll probably snow.

I say end of July, southern Spain, just to be on the safe side.

You're quite right - Silverstone for Britcar24 was a darn sight warmer than PF at Snet in May!
Just north of Iceland was a darn site warmer than Snetterton in May.

I'm happy with Snetterton again, as long as it's not so friggin cold.

(it's only a 40 minute drive for me - cater for the minority PH, you know it makes sense!)

PS Vixpy, i've found some new tent pegs for you, should keep it in one place..

As a note, Snetterton is a nice track for newbies to have a bit of a blast on.

Assuming they do track time next year?

I think the one thing that let down Snetterton was the toilets and showers, walking 300 yards in sub zero conditions was hardly ideal.

Oh

And the weather...

If they do opt for Snetterton again, I think they should lob everyone in that big field, rather than split between the two, and have the PH guys situated in the middle.

Just a thought

There must be somewhere better than Snetterton - the only good thing about it is the track
You mean there's supposed to be stuff other than a track? confused
I think Snetterton is fine, if there's some portaloos or something that would help. I only think the weather was the problem. If it had been sunny, there's loads of room to wander round, drink beer and have a laugh.

As it turned out I was more keen to put on eight pairs of trousers and five coats and snuggle up in my sleeping bag.

A nice warm evening watching 2CVs drinking beer, and toasting marshmallows would be ideal, where ever it's held.
